मिथिला मे पर्यटन विकास की संभावना

This is a well debated issue and has been mooted over several times but still thought of presenting my insight regarding the same.

Tourism has got various forms... somewhr it is cultural tourism, some whr it is religious tourism, somwhr it is adventurous tourism or some whr it is sex tourism and many more.... for improving the tourism capacity of a given destination, there are some and certain factors। these are some IFs and BUTs before thinking about incresing the tourism potential of a given spot ।

1. is the place or destination really worth being a good tourist spot?
yes. some what.

2. what kind of tourism is given an emphasis?
Cultural tourism. as the place has a glorious history of 3500 years and the continuity of the cultural activities are still very prominent in the region.

3. are there proper infrastructure in order to cater to the need of tourists?
no. it is not even nil, but the figure goes in negative . reason being the place is lacking in good quality hotels or even good quality budget category accommodation , pathetic transport, miserable condition of life driving infrastructures like electricity and water, Zero support from the administration's end .

4. Nature's support?
again not very very good , but some what . the normal holiday season is Summer and during that time the atmosphere around is so hot and uncomfortable that the localite resident even dont wish staying there, and god forbid if it rained, means the tourist will loose out his life in flood. winter is the one and only season when people will wish going to those places, and that too just a few months as not everyone gets a long holiday during winter. and even if they get one they prefer going to hill stations as they wish to see mountains , snows etc and there are no such natural beauty in Mithila.

5. wud the localite people be able to adjust with tourists?
ofcourse. after all guest is incarnation of God , thats wat we maithil think about.
