Do you also do the same?

" ...cant you see 'm working for the company even after the normal working hours, and not charging them extra for it, but this company which is full of morons doesn't recognize my contribution. " Aditya said gallingly , when Ravi asked him the reason of his daily overstay in the office after working hours.

Like Aditya many a people who suffer from ill-timed "middle aged crisis" at their home often give such fake pretext which visibley brings it to the notice of all their collegues and friends around them. For them 90 % of their work actually arise during the last working hours of the day and the congestion of all urgent incoming mails happens after 6 PM, incase if there is no such case still they wait till late for some high priority flagged mails after the office hours.

They need to be taught that the work productivity is never directly proportional to the number of hours that one spends at work, or in other language the work productivity doesnt increse if one spends additional hours at workplace like Aditya. It is only and only the quality time that a person spends being fully dedicated to work. - you ask it to any CEO of any MNC and they would definately give an assertive nod to your points. Once Dr. Narayan Murthi ( Head Infosys and the best employer of the year award winner) said it in one of his regular interactive session with his collegues- 'If you are not able to finish your work on stipulated time, it signifies any of the two things .

a) you are not capable to do that job.
b) your employer is lacking in adequate quantity of human resources.'

But people like Aditya who look up for an excuse of reaching home late in order to spend less time at home would probably not agree to it. They probably are unable to discriminate between their roles at home and office and this is what leads them to a 'middle aged crisis' at early age. These people are not only uncontented with their life but also spread it in the life of others. They are carrier of the virus of Unhappieness. These people show that they are very happy and very jovial from outside, they live life as if they give a damn to any problem, they are the most happy go-lucky person, but the truth of the matter is exactly reverse, they are unhappy with their collegues, they are unhappy with their neighbours, they are unhappy with the progress of others. They forget that, how can they spread happieness and joy around , when they themselves are not happy from within.
And this is not only the extent, they have various complains too for which no one is responsible. they have complain with weather - 'why it rained today', they have complain when some other vehicle comes their way while they are driving on the road which ends up with a remark- 'moron, doesnt know driving' or 'he doesnt have traffic sense'. They forget that while the other person came their way of driving they too crossed his path for which the other person might also be cursing them. very interesting.

A referance of chineese proverb would ne very relevent here- "you donot see the world how it is, but how you are." good saying.
